Weight Watchers

Like many women with infants I find myself wanting to shed a few pounds. I was thinking of Weight Watchers, not actually doing it, just thinking about it. It struck me that with my current life and way of eating there is no way I could do a program like Weight Watchers.

For instance, I'm sorry, how many points are the leftover sweet potato puffs that I find (and eat--yes, I eat them) in the high chair while cleaning it? Same goes for cheerios, licking the top of baby food jars (have you ever *tried* Stage 2 bananas?----de-doubly-licious), PB&J sandwich crusts, apple peels, stray grapes, bites of burrito, mangled string cheese, unfinished orange juice, several hundred uneaten peas, and all those random spoonfuls of baby food---just to make sure the stuff tastes OK because I'm getting the yuck face a LOT. Oh, and the goldfish and animal crackers from the diaper bag---somebody's got to eat them, they're getting stale. So, how many points is that?

My plan is to just not make meals for myself. I eat the kids' leftovers, have 2 cups of coffee in the morning (I used to only need one, but these days---don't get me started), and 1-2 glasses of wine at night (OK, sometimes 3, don't get me started), lots of water in between, and make sure I'm getting some protein in there should the leftovers be deficient. Add crunching a 35 lb toddler and a 20lb (I think) baby and doing my own version of Pilates while cleaning the kitchen every night---and voila! Not to mention that I've taken to wearing a back pack to the park now to carry all the varied vehicles Kingsley insists on accompanying us. Oh well, it evens out Butterball in the front carrier (still Bjorning it). My new weight loss book should be coming out any moment now.

Oh, I made this bundt cake the other day after googling "milk+cake recipes", we had a bunch of milk about to expire and I didn't want to waste it (who me, the same crazy lady who won't throw away errant high chair puffs?). It needed a little extra something, like lemon extract or lemon zest---but served with vanilla icecream, vanilla pudding or lemon yogurt---quite yummy.

Did you secretly look into my life to write all that? Hilariuos!
I'm sure I'd be a lot skinnier if I wasn't cleaning my kids plates...PBnJ, Chicken tenders, can't let it just go to waste!

ha ha. You are too funny.

Now I don't do any of those things. I have this phobia of all baby related foods. Seriously, grosses me out. So why can't I lose weight?

Oh yeh, that's right. My kids eat fruit and cheerios and good stuff. I eat chocolate and cake. Crap.
